Each Art Start class begins with an art inspiring story or viewing/discussion of Art from the past to today. Our rug time together will be followed by an introduction and guided discovery of new art materials. The goal of Art Start is to build the confidence of each child to freely experiment with the process of art, different tools and mediums like painting, printmaking, collage, & sculpture. It’s important to let students at this age to make their own creative choices. The first 5 minutes of class allow for students to settle in with open-ended play. Parents are invited to stay to watch their budding artist lead the way or you are welcome to drop-off if your child is comfortable.
